HEALING A NATION (part 4): ANOINTED HEROES
When God wants to achieve actions of historical magnitudes, He chooses one person to work with. In some cases, He chooses a very limited group of people such as the 12 Apostles of Jesus.
In most cases, when God intends on achieving acts of historical or Biblical proportion, He starts with one person.
From Genesis to Revelation, in the near absolute majority of cases, God’s movements started with one person.
When God wanted a nation as His treasured possession, He spoke to Abraham only. He did not speak to Lot, He did not speak to the many men who worked for Abraham.
When God wanted to continue Abraham’s dream, He continued with Jacob only. Not Esau and Jacob together.
When God prepared a way for the children of Jacob to be sent to Egypt, He chose Joseph to lead the way. Not the sons of Jacob.
When God wanted to free His people from Egypt, He chose Moses to lead them out.
When the time came for the redemption and salvation of humanity, God sent one person: Jesus. He did not choose a bunch of angels to die at the cross.
When Jesus decided to reveal the final part of the end times (as in the book of Revelation), He came to John. The book of Revelation was given to one person.
Even in the post-first century history of the Church, there were people that God chose to lead movements. Those people were the main figures within their regions of operation and within their time.
A region of operation is a zone in which God anoints a person to operate. When I use the expression ‘their time’, I refer to the generation of the anointed (e.g: the generation of John Wesley who operated in England).
Those anointed people were the pacesetters of God's light in a specific region and during a specific period.
When darkness arises in a specific region, it also means that those who were anointed did not show up.
Darkness cannot overcome the Light. Darkness is simply the absence of Light. Whenever an anointed hero refuses to stand, then darkness may prevail. When there is an abundance of darkness, it also means that the anointed carriers of God’s Light have decided to resign or be absent from the calling bestowed upon them.
God’s love is so infinite that He will always provide a leading carrier of His Light for each generation and for various geographical zones. Due to freewill, it is possible for a chosen one to refuse to do God’s will.
When issues such as national unemployment, regional poverty, high levels of diseases, permanent hate, immorality and many other evil things persist, it also means that God’s anointed heroes are not standing up. Their reason for not standing up could range from lack of faith, cowardness, selfishness, self-centeredness or some specific sin. Regardless of the reason they use for not showing up, they will be judged for it.
If you are a major carrier of God’s Light for your region, I implore you to stand if you have not.
Sometimes it may feel daunting to be the one chosen to lead a generational and regional movement. But just believe in God and His word. Believe by following the steps He will tell you to follow. You will experience the provision needed for the vision and you will rise.
Do not fear. Believe. Darkness must fall.
