WE ARE ABOVE SOCIO-ECONOMIC ISSUES
In Romans 10:9, the Bible says: ‘ if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’
When we believe that God has raised Jesus from the dead, we should also believe that if God was able to break the limitation of death ,then God can also break all visible limitations around us.
Many societal fights and disputes are caused by the perceived and labelled limitations that surround us. The media, the non-genuine politicians, and the culture try to make us believe that there is never enough. And they tell us that the only solution consists in fighting each other like cannibals.
Look around you, and you will notice that many societal issues, labelled as limitations, existed years or decades ago. Those same societal issues keep coming back under new versions.
Let me give you an example: ‘ We often hear people complaining that the price of bread keeps increasing. Right? In various cases, many like to use the increase in the price of a commodity as a limitation.
Here is a question: ‘since 1970, when did the price of bread deflate to the 1970 price level?’
Regardless of where you live, it is more likely that the price of bread has been ever increasing with inflation and it will still increase. Such will be the same with other commodities. Such will be the same with many socio-economic issues that we are encountering.
If you do some research, you will be surprised to discover that many current socio-economic challenges already existed in another form or version years ago. And long after in the future, those issues will come back in another form.
It is sad that many people are still solely waiting for a breakthrough that will be generated through the complete solving of those socio-economic problems. And what's even more heartbreaking, is the fact that there are many believers among those people.
They are waiting for the price of commodities to return to 1985 levels. They are waiting for recurring socio-economic issues to completely disappear in order to find happiness and prosperity. How sad it is.
This is not a call to ignore socio-economic problems. On the contrary, I strongly believe that we should tackle societal issues with the wisdom from God or the wisdom from Above just like Joseph solved economic problems in Egypt. For every socio-economic problem, there is always a solution from God. But, sadly, many societal leaders prefer solutions that feed their flesh and sensuality.
While many external socio-economic challenges surround us, let us be like Jesus.
Upon His entry into Jerusalem,He believed that the stones would praise Him if people would not (Luke 19:28-40). He was not limited by the willingness of men to praise Him. If one door of praise would close, another door of praise would be open to Him.
While holding the same thinking, let us believe that if socio-economic conditions seem to be closing certain doors in our lives, God can open other doors that do not depend on those socio-economic conditions.
Let’s level up our Faith about socio-economic conditions.
