Beware of this false end time doctrine
There is a Satanic deception making the round in Christian circles and the deception goes like this:
‘The rapture is a separate event from the Second coming of the Lord’.
Such wrong doctrinal teaching forms part of a Satanic setup to deceive many people and I will explain why.
When we mention the Second coming of the Lord, we refer to the day when Jesus will come back and The rapture refers to the moment when Jesus takes us (the Church) up in the air. Those two things will be one event all together and it is described in Matthew 24.
In Matthew 24: 29-31, Jesus said:
‘29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
Verse 30 is the coming of the Lord and verse 31 is the rapture.
The Apostle Paul gives ample details of the Second coming of the Lord and rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18:
‘13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.’
The above passage said:
The dead in Christ will rise first.
Then those who are alive will be caught up together with the resurrected ones.
We will meet the Lord in the air.
We will meet the Lord in the air (v.17). We will not meet the Lord in Washington, nor in Paris, and nor in any place on Earth….
Why is it important to understand the right doctrine about the Second coming and the rapture?
Very soon, there will be a rise of false messiahs. They will claim to be Christ. Those fake people will claim to be Jesus. Some of them will even perform miracles (ref. Matthew 24:24).
Those false messiahs will be operating on the Earthly ground but they will not be able to rapture people. As a result, in order to remove all types of scrutiny against them, they will claim the following:
‘The Second coming and the rapture are two separate events.’
‘If you believe the doctrinal lie claiming that the Second coming of Christ is separate from the rapture, you might predispose yourself into falling for the lies of false messiahs who will come soon.’
However, if you remain Bible literate you will definitely avoid that trap.
