Era of global wars: 'A call to live by faith'

In Ephesians 6:10-18, the Apostle Paul describes the armor of the believer.

In the same passage, he describes faith as a shield. And he even writes that the shield is designed to thwart the flaming arrows of the devil.

Notice that in Ephesians 6:13, he wrote: “ Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

He said that we should wear full armor in order to be ready when the day of evil comes.

And the days of evil have come. In case you don’t know, the Middle East has entered into a new era that will shape the globe in the coming weeks. We are now living in an extremely globalized world and a negative event occurring on the side of the world can affect anyone.

However, I believe that if we keep the shield of faith, we will be able to thwart the flaming arrows of the enemy. The flaming arrows of the enemy may come in various forms such as: ‘anxiety, inflation, poverty, hunger, war, conflicts, economic collapse, etc…” But if we keep our shield of faith, we will thwart his flaming arrows.

In order to best use the shield of faith, you need to know the definition of the term ‘faith’.

I hear a lot of people complaining in the news, on the internet, and in the street. They complain about how hard life has become. They complain about inflation, politics, wars and health crises. And they are right to complain because we have reached a time where human means may not be enough to solve problems.

Therefore, we will need faith all the time.

When inflation will hit the shop shelves, we will need faith.

When the price of petrol will soar, we will need faith.

When a global plague will hit, we will need faith.

When persecution will hit, we will need faith.

For everything, we will need faith.

We have reached a time where we will have to live according to what God says.

In the Bible there are three great statements of faith that are written as follow:

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” (Romans 10:17)

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)

“ The just shall live by faith.
” (Habakkuk 2:4)

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:17)

Your faith comes from what you hear from God. God can speak to you about your life, your job, your ministry, your relationships. God can speak and instruct you about everything. What God says is the message that you hear. The message you hear from God will generate faith in you (ref. Romans 10:17).

If you don’t hear from God about your life, your community and your nation, then how do you have faith?

Once you hear the message from God (through Scripture, a personal revelation or through a prophecy), you will have to match your life with what you heard from God. This is what I call ‘living by faith’ (ref. Habakkuk 2:4).

Furthermore, there are ‘acts of faith’. Those acts keep your faith alive (ref. James 2:17)

Since the Bible states that the righteous shall live by faith, it also means that the righteous cannot live without faith.

This is why the devil wants to attack faith first. The enemy knows that without faith, the righteous cannot live.

Faith is a shield. If the shield is removed, then the enemy can throw his flaming arrows to his targets and his targets will burn down.

People with no faith easily burn down during moments of crisis.

In this new era we are entering, find out what God is saying about your life, your community and your nation.

Once you hear the message, apply it.

The world is burning through the arrows of the enemy. Those who neglect the shield of faith, shall find themselves burned by the flaming arrows of the enemy.

This is a call to live by faith.
