How to get all your prayers to God answered

It is not possible to experience a sane Christian life if prayers are never answered.

A life of Unanswered prayers can be extremely stressful. At times, a life of unanswered prayers can even make someone doubt the existence of God.

In this post I will respond to two questions:

Why are prayers not answered?

How to get your prayers answered from God?

1. Why are prayers not answered?

Before I could answer this question, let me say this: ‘If God could answer all prayers, then we could be living in a dangerous world’.

I say this because there are people who have evil prayers submitted to God on a daily basis.

The first reason why answers to prayers are not granted is because the prayer is requesting for an sinful or anti-Scriptural act. The successful realization of a sinful or anti-Scriptural act does not mean that God is supporting such an act. Humans were created with ‘free-will’ which allows them to do anything they want.

Furthermore, God will not answer prayers requests that are not part of his will, even if the request is good.

2. How to get your prayers answered from God

This is what the Bible states:

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.’

(1 John 5:14-15)

Here are two steps:

a)We first need to know God’s will. You can know the will of God through a personal revelation, a prophetic message or via the Scripture.

b)Then we can use His will as prayer points adapted to our request.

Example: 'Lord, I ask that you provide food in my house because you said that we should ask you our daily bread (ref. Matthew 6:11).

In John 15:7, Jesus said: ‘If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.’

The words of Jesus constitute His will for us. If His will remains in us, if we do the will of God, we can receive anything we ask. The person, who obeys God regularly, is likely to see his/her payers answered.

Obviously, a person, who abides in Christ's words, will never make sinful petitions in their prayers.

Here is the summary:

When you pray, make sure that your request is in harmony with the will of God.

Be in the habit of doing God’s will, as you do so, it will be easier to see your prayers answered.
