How to be busy in good works through God's hands
| “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-9) I will be very short in this post. Generosity is the one key that will help you remain busy in good works. As you are generous towards the House of the Lord and towards humans, God will also fill your life with good works. This advice is very relevant, especially for entrepreneurs. Certain people always have free time spent on bad activities and gossip because they are not generous. Besides, by being busy with good works, you are suppressing your time availability towards evil deeds. Some people always have time for evil things because they are not generous. Wherever there are evil actions, they are present. Generosity is not only about ‘giving money’. I say this because many may not have money to give but they can have something else to offer such as clothes, shoes, food, advice, a cup of coffee, water,etc… If you can offer money, then so be it. If you don’t have money, then try to be generous with something else. Step out of the shadow of stinginess and be generous. God will bless you with good works. |
