Jesus said: 'Do business till I come'

'While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once. He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’

(Luke 19:11-13)

The above passage describes the parable of the Minas found in Luke 19.

Please pay careful attention to what the Master said after giving the minas: “Put the money to work until I come back.”

The ‘minas’ are symbolic to the gifts Jesus gave us.

He told us to keep busy with those gifts until He comes back.

You see my friend, it is very possible to get distracted by wars, rumors of war, global agenda, and economic crisis. In the process of witnessing those events, it can become very easy to fall into a freezing state concerning the will of God in your life.

For example, many people are currently stopping everything in their lives because they sense that the end of the world has come near.

But Jesus said: “Do business till I come.”

The more we freeze, the more the darkness will loom around. Jesus said: “you are the light of this world” (Matthew 5:14). If we stop doing the will of God for our lives, then darkness will eventually increase.

We know that things will get worse in this world. However, this should not be a reason to stop us from evangelizing, ministering, and working in God-given careers…

Remember this: “We will all account to God for our lives” (ref. Romans 14:12)

When we meet Our Maker, how terrible it will be if all we have to account for is a pure idle state justified by the current crisis of the world.

Therefore I say to you: “ Do business till Jesus comes.”
