Principles for the 2023 war and beyond: "Be prepared"

As we engage into the new year, I wish everyone a blessed and prosperous year… and I mean it from the bottom of my heart because I know what’s ahead.

As a first word of warning: “Be careful and be on your guard because the enemy has programmed a set of new events designed to kill, destroy and recruit the children of God.”

Before we go into the new year, I will leave you with a set of principles designed to increase the level of your faith (because in 2023, the enemy will target the faith of the Church).

My friend, here is something to remember: “ Prayers to God are not supposed to be meaningless and filled with nonsensical requests (ref. Matthew 6:5-8). You can easily get the answer to your prayers to God when you apply Biblical principles and when you obey God’s will.”

Below are a set of principles which, when applied, will allow you to thrive in the coming year.

Why is it necessary that we discuss those principles? The reason why I find it necessary to discuss such a topic is because in 2023, the enemy will attack the world (believers and unbelievers) and the people who will most suffer are those who will not be grounded on the Biblical principles of God.

Principles for 2023:

1. God always answers our prayers when we pray according to His will:

In 1 John 5:14-15, the Bible says: “ This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”

I used this principle in my own life as well. In other words, in order to see 1 John 5:14-15 come to life, you will first need to know God’s will in your life and then you will have to make prayer requests according to His will in your life.

2. Ask for the will of God to be done

In the Lord’s prayer, this is how Jesus taught us to pray: “This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

(Matthew 6:9-13)

Notice that in the Lord’s prayer, the accomplishment of the will of God is a highly positioned request (before the request for bread and forgiveness).

Notice as well that the prayer does not say ‘ your will be done by You, God’. The prayer simply says, ‘your will be done’. In other words, the request is an open appeal to both and men/women to do God’s will. That request is not exclusively reserved to God’sole execution. It is important that I highlight this point because many Christians have believed that the will of God will always automatically be done on Earth without human participation.

3. Do not underestimate or undervalue the will of God

In Revelation 4:11, the Bible says:

You are worthy, our Lord and God,

to receive glory and honor and power,

for you created all things,

and by your will they were created

and have their being.”

Notice that all things were created through God’s will which is also a form of will power. Furthermore, in Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus said:

“ Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

As you will notice, ‘doing the will of God during your lifetime will be a precondition to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. With such a heavy value bestowed on His will, it would be foolish to undervalue or neglect the will of God.

4. How to stop ‘financial holes in the pocket’

In Haggai 1:1-11, the Bible says:

“In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest:

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “These people say, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the Lord’s house.’”

Then the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai: “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”

Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the Lord. “You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house. Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the olive oil and everything else the ground produces, on people and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.”

In simpler words: “when you look after God’s house, God Himself will also look after your well-being.”

5. The windows of Heaven

In Malachi 3:10, the Bible says:

“Bring the whole tenth-part to the storage house so there might be food in my house. Please test me in this, says the Lord of heavenly forces. See whether I do not open all the windows of the heavens for you and empty out a blessing until there is enough.”

(Malachi 3:10)

Based on Malachi 3:10, God opens the windows of Heaven when we bring the tithe to the store house. It is necessary that we understand and practice that principle because there will be severe economic shortage in 2023 but those who apply the economic Biblical principles will be spared from such shortages.

(Luke 6:38)

In Luke 6:38, the Bible says:

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

This principle is a very important one because the world will be plagued into an economic crisis and there will be high levels of poverty. Therefore, charity will play an important role in the year 2023 and beyond.

You also need to know that Satan will easily recruit people during the year 2023. Desperate people will submit to Satan in exchange for economic relief. However, if we show charity to struggling people around us, then we may give them a chance to resist the devil.

The measure you will use to give, will also be measured back to you.

6. Live your calling

In spite of all the negative things that will happen, keep living your God given calling. Your God given calling will serve and be beneficial to communities around you.

On Judgement Day, God will ask an account from you on the purpose or vision He created for you.
