Dear brethren,

As we are moving towards an increasingly tightened world influenced by the crisis in Ukraine and various economic problems, we should be aware of our identity in Christ.

Regardless of what is happening around us, we should never forget our identity in Christ. Many Christians fall into emotional and sometimes reckless instability in the midst of crisis because they forget who they are and what they are capable of doing during times of adversity.

This message is very important because many of you have goals to accomplish.

The power and the ability you have to accomplish things and to overcome adverse situations is strongly linked to your identity in Christ.

If you have been saved by Christ, then you are no longer a mere creature which is supposed to be ballooned and swayed by all forms of earthly and demonic events. In the midst of crisis and negative events, Christians are the ones who are supposed to be overcomers and the lights of the world.

I am sure that somebody might be doubting the statement I just wrote. Let me prove that I am not writing imaginary things.

Jesus said to you:

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

(Matthew 5:14-16)

In a world characterized by wars, hunger, economic collapse, and a public health crisis, we (Christians) are supposed to be the lights of the world. We are supposed to be the people presenting solutions. Unfortunately, most of the world's directives come from forums and influential people who barely know God or from people who are not Christians.

The Bible says:

And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

(Galatians 3:29)

It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

(Romans 4:13)

As mentioned in the above two verses, the Bible states that:

1. We are heirs of Abraham through Christ

2. A significant part of the inheritance received from Abraham consists in being heirs of the world.

3. We have received the promise through Faith

Based on the three observations made above, here is a question: " why are so many Christians are still behind? Why do so many Christians have their lives directed by demonic influence?"

In truth, if you are saved, indeed you are already blessed and you are an heir of Christ. However, the blessings mentioned in the passages of 'Galatians 3:29 and Romans 4:13' have to be activated or manifested in order to come to life.

Romans 8:19 states: 'The world is eagerly expecting the manifestation of the sons of God"

In other words, the sons and daughters of God are present and existing but many of them have not been living in an activated mode. Many Christians are not experiencing the promises and blessings of God for their lives because they have not activated them.

Let me illustrate this with a few examples:

There are people who are leaders by titles but they don't live or behave like leaders. In order to see the leadership skills in them, they have to activate them.

There are people who are citizens in their own countries but they live and act as if they were undocumented people within their own countries. In such cases, they have to activate their citizenships.

'Being' or ‘existing’ does not equate to 'manifesting who you are'. Many in the churches are confused about what is going on in their lives because they assume that 'being blessed in Christ' automatically means that great things will just happen.

If you are saved, then You are blessed and you are an heir of the promises of Abraham but you still have to activate the blessing and the inheritance you have received.

In Romans 4:13, the Bible states that we have received the promise of Abraham through righteousness that comes by Faith. Notice that Faith still plays a great role in our inheritance.

In James 2:17, the Bible states that 'Faith without works is dead'. In other words, it is possible to have a Faith that is not activated. However, through the works of faith (and not of the flesh), our faith can be activated and visible. Faith and works are closely associated.

In an altercation that Jesus had with the Pharisees, He told them: "if you were the children of Abraham, you would do the works of Abraham'' (Reference John 8: 39). In other words, since you are a descendant and heir of Abraham through Christ (ref. Galatians 3:29), then you are also expected to do works of faith.

Interestingly, Jesus said:Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Furthermore, the Bible states: '' For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10)"

When God Blessed Abraham, He blessed him and he also told him to go to a certain location, and Abraham obeyed (ref. Genesis 12:1-4). When the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he confirmed that she was blessed and favored (ref. Luke 1:28) and then he told that she would carry the Savior of the world. She could have refused or she could have even aborted the baby but she carried Jesus. Any woman would agree with me: " carrying a child for 9 months is a lot of work." By carrying Jesus for 9 months, Mary did works of faith.

I could use several other examples but this is the bottom line: " We are saved by grace through faith and not by works. Salvation is free. However, while we remain on Earth, we are expected to do certain works ,not for salvation, but for the glory of God and for the benefits of mankind. The Christians who claim that there is nothing to do, are selfish and self-centered Christians.

Based on many examples from the Bible, I can conclude that the Blessings and the inheritance we receive, come with instructions from God. When we obey those instructions, then we will manifest to the world and the world will see our lights and the children of darkness will not be able to operate because where there is the light, there is no darkness.

Darkness does not need a switch to be activated. It simply needs the absence of light. This explains why the Church was subjugated to very restrictive rules in the past 3 years. The restrictions on the Church also meant that the children of darkness could operate in a smoother way. By looking at current national policies, the current economy and the state of the nations, you will easily see how far darkness has advanced in the past three years on Earth.

When God blessed you in Christ, what was the instruction He gave you?
