Getting rid of stubborn demons through sin confession

Here is the golden question: 'why some demons and some demonic situations are stubborn?'

Certain demonic situations seem to return and come like in a cycle during the same specific period... Why?

Because of Repetitive sin!

Repetitive sin refers to either: 'sinful addiction' or a 'sin repeated after deliverance'. In James 4:7, the Bible says:

'Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you'

The opposite of James 4:7 is also true. If we don't submit to God and if we don't resist the devil, then demons will build permanent residence in the life of a sinner.

Sinful addiction is dangerous because it strengthens a demon. On the other hand, a sin repeated after a deliverance is even more dangerous.

In Matthew 12: 43-45, Jesus said:

'“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.'

When an evil spirit goes out, it will attempt to come back with other spirits. Notice that Jesus refers to the ' Matthew 12:43-45 scenario' as a scenario reserved to an evil generation. In other words, evil spirits come back to an evil generation or to a person who commits evil.

The reason why a returning demon brings 7 others more wicked than itself, is because it has learnt the lessons behind the first deliverance. To prevent another deliverance, it will bring more evil spirits with it.

Note that when a person opens a demonic door through sin, he/she does not get to decide which kind of demons will come. The devil does not play fair game, they will decide themselves what to bring.

In John 5, Jesus heals a man who was an invalid for 38 years. After hearing him, Jesus instructs him to not sin again or something worse may happen to him (John 5:14). In other words, the demons that were oppressing him may come back if he decided to sin again.

So what must you do if a demon or a demonic situation persists in your life due to a repetitive sin after a deliverance or due to an addictive sin?

In the Bible , James wrote:

'Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.'

(James 5:13-15)

1. In order to break the demonic cycle, you must confess the sin committed. If the sin committed negatively affects certain people around you, then you must also confess your sin to them and ask for forgiveness. Sin must not be hidden. Sin must be revealed. And the people who are negatively affected by your sin, should know the truth.

2. Ask for joint effort prayers from other saints.

Once you do that, you will be on our way to deliverance.
