Jesus wants you to build on the solid rock

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

(Matthew 7:25-27)

You see my friend, the storm won't discriminate or select the people it will attack.
Many Christians think that because of their affinity to Christ, storms or calamities are never supposed to happen. And when they do happen, they shout and complain to God by saying: 'how can you let this happen to me?'

My friend, let me tell you something: 'If Jesus had to suffer insults, libel, and physical abuse, then it also means that we will, sooner or later, suffer pain and endure storms.'

Jesus even said: “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for My sake and for the gospel will fail to receive a hundredfold in the present age— houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and fields, along with persecutions— and in the age to come, eternal life.

(Mark 10:29-30)

You see my friend, Jesus warned us that persecutions would come even if we prosper.
Therefore, the 'storm' is not a matter of 'IF' but a matter of 'WHEN'.

Some people only think of building on the rock when a storm attacks. Yes, it may be okay to think of a solid foundation during the storm but it is BETTER to build on the rock before the storm comes.

YOU must make sure that when the storm or the devil arrives, they find your life built on a rock. Build on a rock before the storm arrives.

How do you ensure that your life is built on a rock?

You build your life on a rock by listening and practicing the words of Jesus. That's it. The more your practice His Words, the stronger your foundations.

Can I confess something with you?

'As servants and ministers of God, there are certain things we don't say out of courtesy...There are times when people are desperately in need of spiritual help or prayers because of evil afflictions in their lives. And then, there are times when we know that those people won't make it past another day because they never built on any rock solid foundation during good times before the storms....'

I know that it may be a good thing to think of building on the rock during storms but it is better that build on the rock before the storms.
When satan and/ or the storm come to you, they must find strong foundations in your life and not the sand.

Be careful.

You have been warned.
