KNOWING AND PRIORITIZING THE MOST IMPORTANT

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
(Matthew 7:24-27)

The parable of the two builders shows a contrast about life: 'One builds on the rock and the other builds on the sand.'

What's the main difference between the two?

Here is the difference: 'One understands and prioritizes the most important while the other gets busy at doing everything while forgetting the most important part.'

Here is the truth:

1. The just shall live by faith ( Romans 1: 17)

2. Faith comes hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. (Romans 10:17)

Your Faith comes from hearing the word from God. Once your faith is built, you then live by it.

But how would a righteous person live if he ignores Faith?

----

You see my friend, many people are doing multiple things that don't even matter. They are busy in everything like the foolish builder who builds on sand. They do so many things except the very things that God asks them to do.

Hear me well:

'If you live a busy life falling outside of God's foundational words for your life, on the day of the storm, everything will be gone, and you will even fail to show the legacy of what you built. Nothing will be left.'

In 2015, I quit my job as a store manager because my work was an impediment to what mattered: 'the will of God for my life'. That job kept me busy at everything except for what mattered the most.
It's been 6 years now and I don't regret it.

I didn't quit to start a ministry. When I quitted my job, God gave me a directive to move to Johannesburg and start a new career in teaching...
I want to mention that detail because many think that God only calls to full time preaching. God can call you into a secular career.
Looking back at my decision to live by faith and based on what God wanted me to do, I don't regret a single thing. It was tough but worth it.

Many people reading this message are involved in so many things except in the one that matters the most. They actually know what God expects from them, but they prefer to bury His will under multiple activities that don't contribute to their purpose.

You need to know what's the most important.
The most important is what God said.

Build on what He says you should do.
