What does Hell really look like?
Regardless of how many times you have read your Bible, you will only find two outcomes reflecting our future eternity: ‘Eternity into life and eternity into Hell.’
There is no middle outcome or a third way. And it is very important that I describe Hell because in the past decades, the Church has been invaded by motivational speakers who masqueraded as pastors and who redefined Hell as a soft zone where people are simply separated from God.
Hell is more than an obvious separation from God.
I think that the softening of the definition of Hell by many pastors has rendered the concept of Hell as a place where people can still breathe and survive…
In the late 90’s and in the early 2000’s, there was a rise in new preachers who focused on preaching solely ‘feel good messages’. Those messages never included conviction against sin or a clear understanding of what Hell represents. Those preachers were more in : filling the seats of their churches, gaining popularity and fame, selling books or being invited on secular shows, or getting the approval of secular media..’
For such reasons, messages on Hell were either fully discarded or softened just to appeal to all church goers maintaining sinful lifestyles.
Don’t be fooled: ‘every preaching and every message, preached through a ministry (like mine) or preached behind the pulpit, must have a reference from the Bible. Do not allow anyone to preach to you without cross-checking if what they say is in the Bible.
My friends, times are bad and we cannot afford to be deceived. Some preachers are more interested in filling seats in their churches and in selling books than looking after the true well being of Jesus' flock. You need to open your eyes.
The redefinition of Hell by some preachers had gotten so bad that many Christians can’t even define Hell according to the Scriptures.
I once heard a Christian dude who said: ‘Hell is a place where Satan and his devils are having BBQ cookouts and where lost humans are the meat being cooked.’ No, there is no such thing. Satan, his devils, his agents and the humans cast out in hell will ALL suffer in Hell.
Nobody is running a party in Hell. There is no such verse in the Bible.
In order to share a clear description and a clear idea of what Hell entails, let us read a few Bible verses about Hell:
Hell was primarily designed for Satan and his devils
In Matthew 25:41, Jesus said: ‘"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Get away from me, you who are accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels!’’
Hell was primarily designed for Satan. Not for humans. Therefore, it will be a real tragedy for humans to go down that path.
Hell is a Lake of fire
My friends, please do not allow anyone to lie to you about Hell. Some people claim to have seen Hell in visions and those same people claim that there are different rooms in Hell with different degrees of pain and suffering. Those fake sensational testimonies are designed to gain clout on social media in order to make some peanut money offered by social media platforms.
In Revelation 20:10, the Bible says: ‘ And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.’
The above mentioned passage proves that Satan, his devils and his agents will be tortured forever and ever. Therefore, they will not have time to torture or cook out anyone. Therefore if a person claims that they had a vision of Hell where devils were torturing humans, that person is either lying or he/she had their vision inspired by the devil.
In Revelation 21:8 , the Bible says: ‘But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
The Book of Revelation doubles things down by describing Hell in Revelation 21:8 and by showing that ‘sin committed humans’ will have the same fate as Satan in the lake of fire. Notice that there are NO rooms, NO prison cells, No demon torturing anyone as many false testimonies have claimed.
Demons and people in Hell will be conscious and have their senses
There is a wrong conception of Hell often preached by ‘greedy and fame loving pastors’. The wrong conception of Hell states that Hell is just a separation from God where dead people will just sleep in darkness and sadness (oh, how sweet it is…).
In Matthew 13: 49-50, Jesus said: ‘This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
If you take the time to re-read the above passage, you will notice that the people thrown into the Hellfire are weeping. It is not possible to weep without having physical sense. It is not possible to weep without being conscious. It means that the people thrown into Hell will be feeling the pain with their senses for eternity thus causing the tears.
There will be no break in Hell and there are ‘eating worms’
Through the false and erroneous preaching of many, some Christians think that there will break times in Hell.
In Mark 9:47-48, Jesus said: ‘ And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where “‘the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.’
Notice that Jesus mentioned the presence of worms that eat people burning in Hell and the fire that is not quenched.
Is that a place where you would like to go?
I don’t know about you but I am not going there.
Call to repent and give your life to Jesus
There are so many good things that god would like you to experience on Earth and in future eternity.
There is a life that God has prepared for those who belong to Him. Hell was prepared for Satan and his devils. However, many will go to Hell due to their unwillingness to part ways with sin and their unwillingness to surrender their lives to Christ.
If you have not accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour or if you would like to recommit your life to Christ, please repeat this prayer:
Lord Jesus,
Thank you for dying at the cross for me,
I repent from my sins on this day.
I confess you as my Lord and I believe that God has raised you from the dead.
On this day, I commit my life to you and to your will.
I belong to you, use me for your glory.
Thank you and
Amen
